Italian Baby Clothes - Baby Graziella

Founded in 1968 in Castelfidardo (Ancona) Italy, Baby Graziella is dedicated to children's clothes. Graziella's Latin meaning is Graceful and that certainly seems appropriate for this Brand. The Brand name has it's origins with a photo of a young girl with her name "Graziella" embroidered across the front of her dress. Last year the company celebrated 40 years as is now renowned around the world selling in locations such as Harrod's in London, Fitaihi Center in Jeddah, Ar-Ne in Istanbul, Seibu in Hong Kong, El Corte Ingles in Madrid.

All the designs distinguish themselves for the choice of the best materials, the accuracy of the finishing touches and the originality of the style. Pure merino wool, pure cotton, chinilla cotton and sometimes silk, are the principal raw materials from which dresses, cardigans, sweaters, shirts and shorts for babies are produced.

That young girl has now grown up and both owns the company and sits at the heart of it's creative soul.

Kenzo Children's Spring and Summer 2009 collection is inspired by Alice in Wonderland

Kenzo Children's Clothes

The Kenzo designer, Antonio Marras, presented a storybook fashion fantasy, inspired by 'Alice in Wonderland' and Victorian flower-collectors, in his spring/summer 2009 collection for Kenzo, at the Paris prêt-à-porter season.
The use of flower prints, botanical embroideries and satin, chiffon and gabardine in mossy and pastel shades, delivered a dream like image of "Alice" in a sun-withered garden.
Kenzo'z set of larger-than-life wildflower books, stacked up on a living-room table, the models paraded in watercolour florals and brighter, herbaceous border-patterns. They gave the imagery of fairies, with hair filled with feathers and faces of sparkling eye-shadows and glowing faces.

Smock dresses with delicate bodices embroidered with crystals and pearls. Longer, empire line dresses, with rise and fall hemlines which disclosed petticoats of lace and flounces.

Puffball dresses sewn with golden threads, sequins, over tutu underskirts.

The show ended when the books on the set opened magically to reveal standup cutouts of flowers and butterflies.

Marras, showed his first Kenzo women's collection in March, 2004 and now extends his authority to the children's ranges where he authorises both cut and cloth.
